Collection: Plaster Coving

Coving is the simpler, smoother side of the cornice family: the moulding that finishes the line where your wall meets the ceiling. This page brings together our plain plaster coving profiles, from small ogee and cove runs for an 8ft 6in room up to larger plain profiles for ceilings of around 13ft. They're made in our own workshop in Horwich, Bolton, and most come in 3m lengths. Every listing gives the room height it's designed for, and nearly all have a sample option, so you can hold one up to the ceiling before ordering a full run. After something more decorative? Plaster coving FAQs

Is coving the same as cornice?

Not quite, though people use the words for the same thing. Coving usually means a simpler, more uniform profile, and cornice covers plain through to highly decorative mouldings. Our cornice vs coving guide explains more.

Which size of coving do I need?

Go by ceiling height first. Each listing states the room height it's designed for, from 8ft 6in up to 13ft in this range, and many also give the wall and ceiling measurements in mm. If you're unsure, call us on 01204 693900, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Can I order a sample first?

Yes, for nearly all the profiles on this page. Choose the Sample option on the product page instead of the 3m length.

How long is each length, and how much should I order?

Most profiles come in 3m (10ft) lengths, and a few are about 2.9m, so check the listing. Measure the room perimeter and order a little extra to allow for mitres and offcuts.

What adhesive do I use to fit plaster coving?

Use a coving adhesive. We stock Gyproc coving adhesive (5kg and 12.5kg) and Herculite Fibrefix in our fixing and filling adhesives. Our install guide takes you through fitting step by step.

Can you match my existing coving?

Often, yes. Start by tracing the profile. If it isn't in our range, our plaster matching service can reproduce it.
